Various events in Ivano-Frankivsk region show that here we can see the formation of the creative economic cluster.
In particular, the festival “Porto Franco” plays an important role in the development of creative industries. This was emphasized by the Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Shevchenko. He is convinced that such an approach to creativity is the basis of what for leading world experts is almost the main condition for an economic and civilizational breakthrough in the coming decades.
This is a so-called “creative economy”. It is directly related to culture and creativity. In the modern model of world social development, economics and culture are interconnected. The core of this model is the recognition of creativity, knowledge and access to information as powerful engines of economic growth. The very term “creativity” is known to be associated with a non-standard worldview, rich imagination and inspiration.
To put it simply, in the modern world, the main producers of value added are no longer employees of traditional professions. The next, the more-paid producers of the present-day are those dreamers and fantasies who create “new worlds” in creative studios and personal computer monitors – computer programs, innovative products, scientific discoveries, technological innovations, and more – musical and artistic works, make up stories and embody the most interesting dreams of mankind on stage or in a visual product.
“Porto Franco” over the past two years has demonstrated that Ivano-Frankivsk is the city of the future, the city of “creativeness”. For a long time, we have been following the phenomenon of Rostislav Derzhipol’skii and his theater, with which our Foundation “New Ivano-Frankivsk” has long and fruitfully cooperated.
The team of the “Center for Contemporary Art” and Anatoliy Zvyzhinsky clearly showed their perseverance after inadequate actions by the city authorities, which, due to some kind of misunderstanding, did not nearly ruin the promising creative center of the city due to world-wide differences.
In general, the Festival made it possible to declare itself to young and currently unknown artists, but already experienced and renowned to show themselves unexpectedly, in new dimensions, and burn the fresh facets of their talent.
The imagination of such people is building our future. It is their ideas and fantasies, with proper business support and competent PR, will cost tens and hundreds of millions (with time and “not hryvnia”). It is for their ideas and skills that hunts the most famous world brands. To be creative (creative, original, “not like everyone”) – is now a requirement for a person who claims to be a key or even important participant in a modern-day economy.
Our country and the city are rich with creative people. If anyone has not yet convinced the Stanislavsky phenomenon and other past events, events, phenomena and projects, then “Porto Franco” did not leave any doubt about it. Frankivsk is a city of creative artists. Now this is beyond doubt.
