Two Carpathian artists were awarded honorary titles

On the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Day of Culture Workers and Masters of Folk Art, two Carpathian artists were awarded honorary titles. For a significant personal contribution to the development of national culture and art, significant creative achievements and high professional skills, the honorary title “People’s Artist of Ukraine” was awarded to Mandryts Natalia Stepanivna and “Honored Artist of Ukraine” – Volodymyr Dmitrievich Kurtyak.

Fifth Regional Festival of Hutsul Authentic Music named after Mogur-Kumlik

In early November, the meeting of the organizing committee for holding the V Regional Festival of Hutsul Authentic Music named after Vasyl Grymalyuk (Mogoura) – Roman Kumlyk (Romka) took place in the Verkhovyna District Council.

Opening the meeting, the officials emphasized that Vasyl Grymaliuk and Roman Kumlyk were unsurpassed virtuoso musicians who conquered not only Hutsulshchyna, but all of Ukraine and the world. Therefore, the festival must be held at a high organizational and artistic level. Musicians from all over the region of Hutsulshchyna have to come to Verkhovinshchyna to present their authentic musical art. The festival is intended to open new Mogury and Kumlyk – and spread the Hutsul authentic music aroud Ukraine.

It was agreed that the festival will take place on November 27, 2017 in the House of Culture of the village Kryvorivnya.
